Our two Beaver Colonies are growing, and we're looking for more volunteers to help deliver fun, friendship and adventure to local 6 to 8-year-olds.
If you enjoy having fun, being creative, and helping young people discover the world around them, then becoming a Beaver Team Member could be the perfect role for you.
As part of our friendly team, you'll help deliver exciting activities for 6 to 8-year-olds, supporting them as they try new things, make friends, and build confidence.
What might you do?
- Lead games and activities
- Help Beavers earn badges and celebrate achievements
- Support local visits and outdoor adventures
- Get involved with crafts, challenges and themed evenings
- Work with other volunteers to plan a fun programme
- Encourage young people to learn, explore and have a go
One week you might be building dens, hunting for minibeasts or creating a masterpiece from recycled materials. The next, you could be helping Beavers learn about their community, tackle a science experiment, or set off on a woodland adventure. At Beavers, every meeting is packed with opportunities to learn, laugh and discover something new.
What do you need?
Enthusiasm, patience and a willingness to join in.
You don't need previous Scouting experience or specialist skills. We'll provide training, support and resources to help you feel confident. All that's required is a positive attitude and a desire to help young people thrive.
The best bit
You'll help create memories that last a lifetime while developing your own skills, making new friends, and being part of a welcoming team.
And there's every chance you'll have just as much fun as the Beavers do.
