Detailed description

Lead Generation & Community Outreach Support Volunteer – EcoCoach CIC

Flexible, admin-only, remote-friendly role (no child contact)

EcoCoach CIC is a child-first community organisation working across Cambridgeshire to support schools, families, and alternative provision learners. We are seeking volunteers to support our lead generation and community outreach work — the behind-the-scenes admin tasks that help us connect with schools, partners, and organisations.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys research, organising contact information, and supporting community engagement from behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing

You will support our Director and Operations Lead by:

  • researching contact details for schools, clubs, and organisations
  • updating outreach spreadsheets
  • identifying community partners, networks, and local opportunities
  • helping prepare email lists, lead sheets, and contact information
  • supporting follow-up tracking and scheduling
  • organising community information in Google Drive
  • helping build a structured lead-generation system
  • basic admin tasks linked to outreach and networking

No phone calling required unless the volunteer wants to.

Who this role is perfect for

Someone who is:

  • organised and detail-focused
  • comfortable researching and gathering information
  • confident with spreadsheets and email
  • interested in community work, education, SEN, or business development
  • reliable, methodical, and happy working independently
  • looking to build admin or research experience

Ideal for students (marketing/community/social science), returners to work, retired professionals, or anyone who wants to quietly support a meaningful CIC.

Time commitment

Flexible — usually 2–6 hours per week, depending on availability.

What you’ll gain

  • Experience in community engagement and lead generation
  • Skills in research, organisation, and communications admin
  • Insight into CIC outreach and local partnerships
  • A role that builds strong CV value
  • Reimbursement of agreed expenses
  • Supportive leadership and clear instructions

Where the role takes place

  • Remote / from home, or
  • optional Cambridge office
  • No DBS required — this is a non-child-facing role.

Why you’re needed

EcoCoach’s ability to support children and families grows when we build strong community relationships. Your support strengthens that growth and helps us reach more schools and partners.

What we will provide to volunteers

💸 Reimbursement of costs
